What If……?
Over the past three weeks, I have been at war with the nastiest upper respiratory infections known to man. But with the aid of some very persistent antibiotics and constant prayer, I am good as new.
But, while I was lying there half conscience, praying for a sift death, the mind begins to wonder, and one of the scariest questions begin with the words “what if”
What if I had never taken that first drink? What if I had asked that cute girl out? or not!
But the question that made me as uncomfortable as having a piece of glass in my shoe was WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET SICK AND DO NOT DIE?
* One in every three deaths is from heart disease and stroke
* Someone in the United States has a stroke every 40 seconds
* Americans who reach age 65 have a 40% chance of entering a nursing home
* According to a survey approximately 61% of adult Americans do not have a will
With the unpredictability and uncertainties that life will throw your way, it is vital to create a sound financial plan.
Here are some things you must do:
* Create a Will
* Review your beneficiary designations and life insurance coverages
* Establish health care directives
* Plan for the distribution of your retirement assets
* Decrease or eliminate estate taxes
* Determine how to draw down your assets
Taking those six steps can set you on a successful trajectory to a sound financial plan for generations to come.
So as you saunter into another day light saving time, consider the “what ifs” in your life and take action.
IF YOU CHANGE YOUR FINANCIAL THINKING, YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR FINANCIAL FUTURE.
